This lesson shows you how to create clear instructions that you'll provide to your customers so that they can get their products once they have paid for them. These instructions should be included with every product whether it's a single product, a bundle or something in between.
Canva Update
Please Note: Since this video was made, Canva has made updates that will allow creators to make links to the "templates" they create, versus linking to their specific documents.
So instead of the customer being able to edit your design, they will be able to create their own version of the document that will be placed in their Canva account. You want to make sure to select "template link" and then create template link, and finally copy template link.
That will give you a link that you will place in your instructions, allowing potential customers to have their own version of your template that they can save and modify as they see fit without making changes to your product.
The better you are at showing your customers what they will receive (the product as well as what's in it for them), the more you will sell and the better you'll be at managing expectations and eliminating any miscommunication that might occur.
When buying a digital product, your customers will expect to receive their purchase immediately. Any miscommunication can be avoided when you follow the instructions outlined in the video lesson above.
The example below is simple, and easy. It tells the customer what to do and gives them a big blue button to click to access their product. These instructions are immediately sent to the customer once their payment is processed.
It's important that you inform potential customers of what they will receive when they buy your digital product. If they are expecting a physical product , imagine how disappointed they will be to find that they are receiving a digital product, and vice versa.
If you let them know from the beginning that they are receiving a digital product, and they are clear on what the next steps are, they can make an informed buying decision. You can avoid customer service issues and questions as well.
