This lesson takes you to the next step in the digital product design process. In this step, we will "package" our digital product to give our audience lots of ideas and instructions on how to use the product, making it visually appealing. We also want to make it clear to our potential customers, what they will receive in their purchase.
We made our mock up files in Canva. Now we will create a file that we can upload to our platform so that our customers can review and purchase it.

This is a digital document template pack. It shows the templates the customer will receive and how they can be downloaded, edited and used to promote their products and services.
Why Use a Mock Up Tool?
Mock ups give potential customers an idea of what your products will look like when they receive them. They are an artistic rendering of a design or product that showcases the product in action.
A mockup can be a model, image or scene of a design or product, and they're often used for demonstration, education and/or promotion.
To sell your digital products you will need a good mock up tool so that you can show your prospective customers what the item will look like when they purchase it.
The image below is a mock up of a wall hanging created with Smartmockups. It's a motivational image that is sold digitally. The mock up helps potential customers see how it will look in a frame, with certain color palettes and in certain settings.
You'll want to give potential customers an idea of how the item will look in a variety of settings .Think of how your product should be used and provide mock ups of all those scenarios if possible. You want your potential customers to picture the item in their home.
Since potential customers are not able to touch or feel your products, it's important to use high quality mock ups. It's also important to clarify what your customers will receive.
Use language that tells them they are receiving a digital download and provide instructions that show them how to get their product. If your mockups look great, it will help you sell more items. If you skimp on the quality, you may lose sales.
Where to Find Mockup Generators
You can find mock up tools and templates on Canva, Placeit, Smartmockups and the Creative Market. Most mock up providers have a variety of files you can use, but when you're looking for different types of files, keep in mind that not all sites have all kinds of mock ups. For example, some sites specialize in apparel while others are better for document mock ups.
