It's summer, a great time to get organized for the colder fall and winter months. Use these ideas to focus in on the items your favorite crafters need to start and grow their businesses. • Cricut Machine

From jewelry making to sewing, paper crafting and personalizing, the Cricut is a fantastic machine for every craft room.  

If your gift recipient has a Cricut machine, there are accessories you can purchase, or consider adding a machine upgrade that works faster and handles even more materials. You can also consider items to protect your equipment, like covers and bags. 

I have a Cricut Explore Air 2 and it cuts most materials with ease, including paper, cork, bonded fabric, thin wood and vinyl.  Make everything from cards, stickers, custom t-shirts and home decor.

• Laser Engraver

• Addi Knitting Machine 

My "go to" machine for literally "cranking out" knitted items in no time is the Addi! I have both the smaller and the king size machines. They are both amazing in helping me make what would take months to make in a very small amount of time.  I've only made scarves and hats, and I can make about five beanie hats in one afternoon.

• Sublimation Ovens and Presses

When you're looking for gift ideas for crafters, consider those crafters who use their creativity to make items using sublimation. Sublimination is a digital printing process that uses heat and pressure to transfer dye onto different materials. There are lots of materials, equipment and accessories that go into creating with this process. 

The ovens and heat press machines will allow your favorite crafter to make tumblers, mugs, home decor and other items using a sublimation process at home.

Once your favorite crafter has the right equipment, they can create a full or part time side hustle making a wide range of items that can be sold from the comfort of home. 

• A Camera and Tripod

Crafters with a well-stocked product inventory can sell their crafts online, at craft fairs, they can blog about them, or share them online using social media. 

A camera and tripod can help them capture all those "moments" and events to tell the story behind their products and creative business journey. 

I can't think of a better way to help your favorite crafter upgrade their creative business than to give them the means to take high quality videos and photographs that will do a great job of helping them easily document their journey. 

And if this crafter already has a camera they love, try for an upgraded lens. If your crafter is doing audio or video content, a tripod is a must have.

Podcasting is a popular way for creative entrepreneurs to reach an audience on the go. From personal experience, one of the best gifts a podcaster can receive is a great microphone, microphone arm (or stand) and headset.

There's also the Movo Wireless Wireless Microphone System. This is the microphone I use with my iPhone to make videos and to record my podcast. If you have a casual crafter who might not yet have a sewing machine, or one who might be able to use an upgrade, this is a fantastic way to make their day!

If you’re considering buying a sewing machine for a crafter, I’d recommend first determining which category (beginner, intermediate, pro) and what they are going to be making with their machine (simple patterns and materials, heavy duty materials, complicated designs and patterns, etc.), before taking the plunge to spend money on a machine.
