Is It Your Approach?

Or are you running away the very people you would love to do business with?

Are you jamming your news feed with a never ending stream of products, company information, sales, events and offers? Are you constantly passing out unsolicited information or giving away free samples that never result in a sale?

No one is born knowing how to promote online. So unless you have a mentor or someone to show you the ropes, you are in the same boat as most new business owners.  People can spot you from a mile away because you're like a fish out of water.

So if you’re struggling for air don’t feel bad, because this is where a lot of new network marketers, solopreneurs, direct sales people and affiliates find themselves… until they learn better.

In this article you’ll learn how to set yourself up for success with a little training and few tweaks to your approach.  Just know that you’re not alone.

A Major Lack of Training

People who start a new business start out with lots of enthusiasm and the best laid plans. They receive their training and they are off to the races.

When starting out a lot of network marketers receive training (in many cases) that includes the following instructions. Make a list of everyone you know. Call them on the phone and talk to them about your business.

They may make their list and begin to make calls. After being hung up on, ignored and told no a few times they realize that they don't really know what they're doing. So they do one of two things.

They continue to follow the instructions given by their leadership even though it may not work. After all many leaders are six and seven figure business owners. They see their leaders on stage, being presented with huge checks. They see them give motivational speeches and coaching. Surely they know what is working...right?

They may find that they are given a business plan that worked well for their leadership, and certain members of their team, but a one size fit's all solution doesn't work well for them.

The other approach new business owners tend to take is to imitate what they see other people do, who "seem" to be making it.

However, they never learn what's going on behind the scenes, which can be a problem down the line, when they face certain situations.

Some people find some level of success by using imitation, but they are not confident in what they're doing. They're basically faking it until they make it.

Still others may not be able to make these work, because the leaders they are following are using methods that worked when they built their businesses, back in the day, but they are difficult to use in today's savvy environment.

These leaders have already built a massive list using a Rolodex or a business cards they collected. They created a following using the "old school" methods they are teaching in today's online world.

However there is a disconnect because they built their audience during the time when more consumers were interested in attending home parties, hotel meetings and receiving cold calls.

These were the methods used to reach a large audience and build a business quickly.  However, things have changed and now we have the internet.

The internet is constantly evolving, consumers are more savvy and the methods that worked before may not work as well today. It depends on the audience and the delivery of the person using them.

If you feel unsure about approaching people you know but haven't seen or talked to in a long time it can be awkward.  There's usually a reason you haven't seen certain people for an extended period of time.

You may not have much luck in getting that person to take the desired action, but you're encouraged to try.

If there is no guidance on how to hide your hidden agenda (needing to sell the person something), making calls can be stressful.  However, there are methods that do work, even in hard situations.  This article will walk you through a few of them.

What Approach Works Best for You?

Think of how you want to be approached when you’re looking for a solution or buying something new.

Would you rather do business with a pushy salesperson who keeps asking, "May I help you?" That approach makes it seem like they are rushing you to make a decision.

Some salespeople will hang around because they get a commission. But instead of adding value they lurk around every corner as if they are spying to see when (or if) you're ready to buy something.

Would you rather work with someone who acknowledges you, is pleasant and lets you know they are available to help if needed? If you're like me, you would rather work with someone who is available but doesn't pressure you to buy.

Sharing consistent, useful content is like having the salesperson who is "available to help," but not lurking around every corner.

When you stop talking about your products, and start talking about your ideal prospect, the things they are going through, and how you can help them, you'll begin to build your brand and be regarded as a knowledgeable consultant.

Are you the person who is always talking about your products and trying to drag your friends to meetings? If so, find out how to be effective without using spam, hotel meetings, calls or parties.

You may have heard this before… No one wants to be sold. But most everyone loves to buy.

There are a few things that you as a business owner should put in place before you approach someone about buying products. The biggest asset you have in your arsenal of business tools is the “know, like, and trust factor”.  If you jump to the sale before you have established that aspect of your business you'll be missing the boat.

Does This Describe You?

The problem that faces new business owners (and some who have been around for a while)  is that they decided to start a business with a product they believe in.  But in order to survive, they need traffic (a constant pipeline of prospects), a way to reach them, convert them to leads and then convert them again to sales. They also need a way to make that happen again and again.

Many people start out of the gate by using spam and interruptions to run away the people that start their pipeline... namely, their friends and family.  They may get a few sales from friends and family members who want to be supportive.  But that's where it ends if you're reaching out using conventional methods.

If you're on the friends and family plan there may come a time when they stop returning your phone calls, and they may even run the other way when they see you coming.  So much for your pipeline and your entire sales process.

You may have started your with a company that doesn't provide the hands on demonstrations and training needed to help you become successful at getting what you need to stay afloat, let alone build a solid business.

There is a one size fits all approach that doesn’t fit everyone’s personality or an ever changing online environment.  The sales and marketing practices that are being taught work well for some, but they leave a lot of people out of the loop.

Have You Been Left Out of the Loop?

So, what happens to the people who are not comfortable making a list and calling a zillion of their friends and family? Or the people who have alienated their friends and family with little to no results?

They are basically left to figure out how to make it work. They have to sink or swim so they may read books and sign up for training to fill in the gaps.

That’s what I did, and I have never looked back.  I had a few stumbles along the way, but I have never looked back.

I joined Elite Marketing Pro, and learned things that totally opened my eyes. They helped me change my approach and understand how I was harming my social media presence.

I’m glad to say that there is a light at the end of the tunnel if you’re willing to invest in yourself.  This book is and handling.

These books and the Elite Marketing Pro membership has changed the network marketing industry.  If you’re serious about achieving massive levels of success, the revolutionary ideas discussed in the book could literally change your life.

All you need is a willingness to try something new and different than what you might be told by your upline. When you use use the strategies you’ll be introduced to in the book, there will be nothing holding you back.

You’ll have the tools and confidence needed to hit the ground running.

How to Change Your Approach

If you’re someone who starts the conversation with your prospects by talking about your products, services and opportunities, get the training you need to turn things around.

Try changing your approach in the following ways.

  1. Building a relationship with your ideal prospects.  You can do this online or in person using the strategies and tactics you’ll learn in the course.

Improve the “know, like and trust factor” before asking for the sale. Asking someone to buy before getting to know how you can help them is like getting engaged before dating.

It doesn't make logical sense. Help your ideal prospects get to know your brand by being consistent. The training will show you how to do this in a way that creates interaction that leads to people reaching out to you instead of the other way around.
  1. Understanding their wants, desires and needs and learn what they want to accomplish. Building a relationship helps you understand what your ideal prospects want to accomplish as well as their long term goals.

What are they trying to accomplish. Understanding as much as possible about your prospects will help you match what you have to offer with what they are truly looking for to solve a problem.

  2. Giving your prospects solutions to their problems. Leading with something that your prospects will value. The more you help your audience, the more they will want to do business with you.

  3. Then, talk to them about your business. The training will show you the right way to take all of these steps while creating a whole new approach to doing business.

Help Your Team Improve Their Results

Once you read the book and start seeing results, you’ll want to share the book with your team.  Once you purchase the book you'll become an affiliate which means you’ll earn when you share your affiliate link with your team and they purchase the book.

You can also share it with the general public and earn from those purchases as well.  This can become a passive stream of income that adds to any other businesses you may be involved in.

Helping your team helps you by showing that you care about their success. Remember teamwork makes the dream work!

Duplicating training during your on boarding process means that your entire team will be using winning approaches to building their teams.  If you have people who love hotel meetings, home parties and cold calling, that can be the icing on the cake instead of the only option offered.

The bottom line is that when you utilize training, you won’t have people on your team who are left to figure it out.

You’ll have team members who are ready and prepared to hit the ground running.  Once they start seeing results they will become more motivated, engaged and active, which is an added benefit!
