Using the Colors of Fall to Promote Your Business

The seasons are changing and Fall has arrived. The colors of Fall can create an inspirational mood that helps your ideal customers decorate, celebrate and amplify their hopes and wishes. Meet Salted Caramel, the new Color of the Season on the Creative Market.

I love this warm-toned, sweet brown with an amber glass, leathery feel that stands well as a neutral and injects character into your works of art.

When matching up your promotional elements, it's important to have colors that work together. There's nothing worse than seeing your creations in print and realizing that the colors clash or don't match up.

To make sure you’re working with the right color, we’re providing equivalencies in hexadecimal, CMYK, and RGB systems.

  • HEX: #B56A41
  • RGB: 181, 106, 65
  • CMYK: 0, 41, 64, 29.

Not sure what these numbers mean? Check this link for a video on hex codes and how to use them.

How to Use Salted Caramel

This color sets a tone that is reminiscent of spices, cinnamon, and autumn drinks, Salted Caramel pulls you into that cozy space we crave as the days shorten and the air cools.

It’s a nod to the earthy aromas of coffee brewing, fresh cookies straight from the oven, and the comfort of wrapping your hands around something familiar. Whether you’re drawn to minimalism or maximalism, Salted Caramel speaks to both.

Psychologically, colors in the brown family like Salted Caramel are scientifically linked to feelings of stability and reliability.

Browns with a hint of amber, like Salted Caramel, are particularly effective in triggering nostalgia, as they mimic the hues of natural wood, leather, and autumn foliage. The same study found that these shades can enhance a sense of trust and comfort, especially when paired with cooler, more contemplative tones like teal or navy.

Pair it with moody teals and deep blues for a contrast that feels fresh yet grounded. Let it find harmony with mustard yellows and burnt oranges, where warm tones evoke nostalgia while pushing boundaries.
